Deformability Properties Test measures how a material responds to applied loads in terms of: Elastic deformation, Plastic deformation, Modulus of elasticity, Modulus of deformability, Stress–strain behaviour. This test is performed on materials such as rocks, concrete, shotcrete, soil, geotechnical composites, and repair materials to understand how they deform under compressive, tensile, or flexural stresses. In India, deformability testing is crucial for designing tunnels, underground works, foundations, retaining structures, dams, pavements, and rock engineering projects.
