What is the Structural Vibration Monitoring?

Structural Vibration Monitoring uses calibrated accelerometers and seismometers to measure structural dynamic response — natural frequencies, damping ratios, mode shapes and vibration amplitudes. Changes in natural frequency are the most sensitive indicator of structural damage.

At Global Lab, vibration monitoring is conducted per ISO 4866 and IS 2974 for industrial machinery and per ASTM E2531 for structural dynamic characterisation. Our suite covers ODS analysis, ambient vibration surveys, blast vibration monitoring and continuous SHM vibration measurement.
