Precast Concrete Manhole Covers must withstand repeated heavy traffic loading without failure. Cover and frame dimensions, seating depth and surface finish checked per IS 1726.

Cover seated in frame. Frame placed on prepared flat support per IS 1726.

Hydraulic jack applies proof load to centre of cover. Load held 1 minute. No cracking or permanent set permitted.

Load Removal & Inspection

Load removed. Cover inspected for cracks, permanent deformation and seating disturbance.
