What is Epoxy Coated Strand Chemical Analysis?
Epoxy-coated prestressing strand combines a low-relaxation seven-wire strand (to IS 14268:2022) with a fusion-bonded epoxy coating applied per ASTM A882/A882M practice, used where prestressed elements face aggressive corrosive exposure — marine structures, bridges in coastal or de-icing-salt environments. India does not yet have a dedicated IS standard for epoxy-coated prestressing strand, so ASTM A882 is the recognized international reference for the coating system, applied over an IS 14268:2022-compliant base strand.
