What is Epoxy Coated Rebar Chemical Analysis?

Fusion-bonded epoxy coated reinforcement bars combine the base TMT bar (to IS 1786:2008) with a 0.1–0.3 mm electrostatically applied epoxy layer per IS 13620:1993, providing corrosion resistance in marine, coastal and chemically aggressive environments. The coating specification governs film thickness, adhesion and pinhole-defect limits, but the underlying steel must still independently meet its declared grade's chemical composition.
